The Board of Fire Commissioners, in re Jponse to the request of Chict-Euogineer Perley, that pro vision be made to guard against such occurrences as the recent fire at No. 86 West-st., when the fire apparatus of the district was at another fire on the opposite tide of the city, has made TOR ulations that will fulfill all Fequirements, It is ordered that, as soon as a company shall return to its quarters from a fire, the foreman shall at once telegraph the fact to headquarters, so that the operator may know what engines can be dispatched to a fire. The work herein mentioned, and such as may be necessary to carry out the Shlect of this resolntion, to be done by the New-York and Harlem Railroad Company, and to be ap froved by the Buginfer of the Department of Public orks; and one-half of the cost of raid work to he borne by the said Railroad Company, and the other half to be borne by the city, and the portion to be horne by the city to be paid asthe work progresses, and when such proportion shall amount to $16,000.
