Cookrem as transferee of n judgment of the United States Court against tl)e steamboat Rob Rot, has filed n petition to set aside the order of discharger in bankruptcy granted to A. Mansfield. Exceptions were filed that the allegations of the bill were of too "general a chancier to enable the defendant to respond, aad moved that the bill be hence dism i ss e d, as the time fixed by law wherein opposition can have any effect against the. discharge has expired. These exceptions were overruled, the amendment of the bill denied and the bankrupt ordered to answer in court to such charges as were specifically set up. Iutn-rarity vs. the Lotted States. This is a suit on a custom house bond, the plaintiffs averring that the defendants are justly indebted to them in the sum of $168 81. In November, 18C7, Messrs. Wood, Low to Ludwigsen imported a certain quantity of tin, which was deposited in bond, subject to duty of $610 7l. which the defendants paid,and withdrew their merchandise within St year. >n a subsequent reliquidation the additional sum of $168 71 was imposed, the payment of which being refused, the plain tiffs brought suit.
